Adrift was the first episode (not counting the Christmas Special) of the second series of Doctor Who Rebirth and the first full episode of Gwen Whitmore as a companion to the Tenth Doctor.
This episode also marks the appearance of the Leisure Palace Company which was first established in the TV Story 'Midnight' featuring David Tennant's Tenth Doctor.
